Underwood CSD will be closed today due to secondary road conditions and extreme cold temperatures. There will be no PK or Eagle Care.
We will have a VIRTUAL DAY today Tuesday, February 18.
Please look for afternoon and evening activity announcements as we make decisions on events and practices throughout the day.

As of now the we are planning to have a late start tomorrow, February 18. We will monitor the cold temps and if there is a change we will notify you all as soon as possible.
If we do cancel school for the day we will have a virtual day. Parents please check your email for more information from each building's principal.

Tonight's JH GBB games vs. AHSTW have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Due to impending weather, tomorrow's youth basketball league at the MS has been canceled. The league will wrap up their games next week! #WeAreTheU

With the impending weather we are going to delay tomorrow's district wrestling tournament to a 12:00pm start time.
It is still our goal to wrestle tomorrow and avoid moving the meet to Monday. With that being said, we are prepared to have to delay to as late as possible in order to get the meet in.

Due to strong winds and low temperatures, we will have a two-hour late start on Thursday, February 13. Please note the following adjustments:
-No elementary Pre-K classes
-Eagle Care will open when the elementary school does
-No breakfast will be served

Due to the forecasted winter weather and the winter storm warning issued for our area, we will be canceling school on Wednesday, February 12. This will be a traditional snow day for our students, meaning they will not be required to make up the day.

Carter Forbush (senior) is learning CAD design, where he creates digital models on the computer. For this project he used a CNC router—a computer-controlled cutting machine—to bring it to life. CNC routers are highly precise tools used for milling, engraving, and carving materials such as wood, metal, and plastic.


UPDATE!! We have a State Champ at The U!
Leah Neumann won the State level Elks National Free Throw Contest making 18 out of 25 free throws. Leah will now compete at the regional semi-final in Iowa City on March 15th.
A fun fact, 3 Southwest Iowa Athletes won their age level contest making the SWI District winners as well!
