Student Action Plans Now in Place

One of the major goals for the Underwood Schools is to make all students "proficient", as reflected in the standardized tests Iowa utilizes for No Child Left Behind (NCLB) - Federally mandated standards for education.
To this end, district teachers (through Professional Staff Development) have in place a process to identify those students not proficient, and work one-on-one with these students. The end goal is to have these students score as "proficient" on next year's Iowa Tests of Basic Skills and Iowa Tests of Educational Development...Iowa's standardized tests used for measurement and reporting of Educational Proficiency. In addition, our hope is that the efforts put forth by district staff toward helping these students increase their test scores, will also be reflected in their regular classroom assessments.
